Thanks for sharing so many of the details with me. I can completely picture what things must have looked like at MQZ as you rode away. It is really sad thinking about all the staff standing on the deck watching the wave. I was in contact with one of the daughter's of the american owner and she told me more about what happened to the staff. Unfortunately most of them died. I think all of thoses emails are on my message board so you can read about that if you have not already seen it.

Also, it must have been terrible that night at the waterfall, especially with that boy who watched his parents drown. And that man who last his wife and babies while he was holding them. wow.. that is really tough.

You are lucky you had your motorbikes. Mine was lost in the tsunami. I really would have liked to have had it afterwards for easier transportation. You must have been worried about running out of fuel later.

I have not been back other than a few weeks right afterwards. I hope to go back sometime in the next few years. I have been doing a lot of traveling otherwise though.
