Hello - Thank you very much for your email and interest in my tsunami
experience. The book you are working on sounds very interesting. All
the photos on my website were taken with a Canon S50 digital camera.
they are resolution 1200 x 1600.

I would not charge you a fee for use in the sample pages, but if the
book goes forward and will be published, I would expect some payment.

Let me know which other pictures you want and whether this resolution
will work for you. I have MANY pictures of the aftermath, although
the ones on the website are some of the best. If you are looking for
any type of picture in particular let m eknow and I can look through
what I have (like boats washed up, bodies at temple, rubble filled
streets, etc..) I have very few pictures of the tsunami as it was
coming in (since I was running for cover). That one of the tsunami
washing down the street is definitely the best, and only of that type.
I wish I had taken a few more like it, but seconds after taking that
shot I realized this was much more serious than I originally thought
and that I needed to start thinking about saving myself instead of
taking more pictures. So the next photos after that are the ones I
took from the balcony while the water was going down.

The before and after shots of the bungalows where i was staying are
also popular so you might want to consider using those shots.

Thanks,

John
