Update from Khao Lak
Lena and Patrik Brundin | 5/4/2005 12:56:07 PM
Dear John!
We went back to Merlin Resort and Khao Lak a couple of weeks ago. We are glad we returned, to meet all the wonderful people that helped us, and to see the place again trying "make the puzzle fit together". (This is a Swedish expression, but I think you may understand what I mean)

However, it was really hard too, of course. All the memories came back very strong.

They are rebuilding Merlin resort, which was not so severely affected, but except for that we only saw rebuilding on La Flora at Bang-Niang beach. The whole area still looks terrible and very, very few tourists are there, if any.

We have posted some of our photographs on the net if you are interested in having a look;

Unfortunately, the text is in Swedish but you may recognise some places. Most pictures are taken around Merlin, Seagull Andaman and Khao Lak emerald.

We were looking at the videoclip you sent us. Do you know if the woman floating o
n the mattress managed to get to safe ground?

We hope that you are doing well and that life is getting back to normal for you,
Our warm regards,
Lena and Patrik Brundin
