Dear Solomon. I am glad to hear that the affected areas are recovering and wish only the best to the people who suffered so much. But let us be realistic. The fact that Phuket Town was not affected provides little incentive for people who come to that particular area mainly for the beach, sand, and atmosphere. In your article you write that people who are tired of seeing destruction can walk a small distance inland. That is not what most tourists like to hear. With so many tourist destinations, going to a place to avoid the beach where so many people died is not likely to be high on the list of most people. Unfortunately it will take some time for potential visitors to feel comfortable enough about the place to return to this beautiful area.
