New tsunami charity at Stanford

Dear John,
I'm sorry you had to be a witness to so much destruction and suffering. What a horrid disaster -- so devastating.

At SLAC, a few of us have formed a nonprofit organization to raise money for the victims. OUr approach is slightly different from most other charity organizations. Since we'll be able to raise limited funds, we're choosing specific projects to fund. Here's our website if you're interested.

Jim sent me your website and he was keeping us updated on how you were doing. I feel guilty about you being in Thailand. When you were here last, you were debating if you should go to Thailand. I was encouraging you to go...I'm sorry my dear.
